Roblox head creators have an average annual income of $1.3 million and platform daily users have exceeded 144 million
Roblox’s digital economy has entered an alarming new milestone. According to Roblox ‘ s latest annual financial report as at 31 December 2025, the most successful developers on the platform are no longer only lovers, who are leading millions of dollars worth of businesses.

Roblox describes this as a “record year”: in 2025, the average income of 1,000 creators in the head of the platform was $1.3 million. The dramatic increase in this payment highlights a significant shift in the way in which user-generated content is realized worldwide. Financial data indicate that Roblox continues to grow at a much faster rate than expected, let alone in a far more industrial trend. In the fourth quarter of 2025 alone, the revenue of the Platform increased by 43 per cent over the same period, to $1.41 billion. More impressive are the core indicators for measuring the platform ‘ s virtual currency sales, with a target of 63 per cent to $2.22 billion over the same period. This financial success benefited from a growing player base. In the fourth quarter of 2025, Roblox recorded an alarming 144 million active-day users. With the platform now accounting for 3.4 per cent of the global game content market, Roblox has set an ambitious target of taking 10 per cent of the global market. The most successful game in 2025 was Steal a Brainrot, reportedly developed by a small group of young creators in only four months. The game reached the historical record of 25 million users in September 2025, proving that the threshold for successful viral transmission on Roblox remains significantly below traditional platforms such as Steam or the mainframe.

To support this momentum, Roblox is investing in technological innovation. The company announced that it was in the process of building a generating AI base model designed to help creators build a multi-player game of “large, photo-level realism”. These tools are designed to allow creators to generate 3D objects and convert text into audio, thereby significantly accelerating the development cycle of independent teams. The proposal to add a “forecast market” function to the platform has recently been controversial by Chief Executive Officer Dave Bazuki of Roblox. This feature will allow players to bet on events in the game, such as the results of popular games such as Steal a Brainrot. Although Roblox remains the lead platform for users under 13 years of age, the 2025 report shows that its user age class is moving up at a faster rate than previously anticipated. Recent compulsory age checks indicate that, although 35 per cent of users are under 13 years of age, 28 per cent of users today are over 18. This older group usually has higher consumption capacity, contributing to record incomes. However, this growth is not uncontroversial. The platform continues to face rigorous scrutiny and litigation regarding child safety and its “parent guidance” rating, particularly in areas such as Australia. Roblox recently announced the introduction of a mandatory facial age test to limit children ‘ s interaction with unknown adults in chatting.

With the transformation of Roblox from a “child game” to a global economic giant, how to balance its huge creators’ payments with robust security protection remains the biggest challenge for Roblox in 2026.
